On March 10, 2020, the Art Institute Authorities of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are seeking a millage renewal to ensure the Detroit Institute of Arts can continue offering free field trips and free transportation to tens of thousands of students from local schools while offering residents across Southeast Michigan access to unique history and culture that can’t be found on TV, online or in books.

Highlights of millage-supported programs for Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties include:

  • Free field trips and free transportation to more than 70,000 students each year
  • Free weekly programs for seniors, including free bus transportation for groups
  • Unlimited free general admission
  • Partnerships with more than 900 non-profit organizations
